Hailing from a rich Scottish musical heritage, singer-songwriter and finger style guitarist Robin Adams carries the torch passed on by his parents, Chris and Pauline Adams, the driving forces behind 1970s folk rock ensemble String Driven Thing. Since 2011, Adams has released six full-length albums and two instrumental guitar EPs, ranging from his evocative debut "Be Gone" to his 2022 foray into American Country and Blues, "Wrong Road Home". Drawing inspiration from the likes of John Martyn, Nick Drake and Bert Jansch, Adams has carved out a distinctive niche in the folk singer songwriter landscape.
He is also an active member of the travelling folk collective Les Caravan alongside Sam Grassie (Avocet, Broadside Hacks), Alfie Jones, Sam Fryer (Parma Violets, Gently Tender), Mataio Austin Dean (Shovel Dance Collective).
In 2021, Adams received the Celtic Music Radio Album of the Year award for his album "One Day". The following year, Americana UK lauded his latest work, "Wrong Road Home" with a 9/10 review, asserting that listeners would be hard-pressed to find a more enjoyable record that year or the next. In 2023 he released his sixth album "Sun Behind The Storm" to similar praise.
